Field Trips

Field trips for all ages are available. Contact the YouZeum for more information.

Check-in

We encourage you to arrive promptly at your scheduled time. Your bus should pull next to the building on Sixth Street (facing North). Please remain on the bus until YouZeum staff come out to greet you. After a short presentation about the layout, basic safety and building rules, they will lead your group into the YouZeum through the Lower Level Entrance. There will be a secure area for students to leave coats, backpacks, cell phones, etc. during your visit. Restrooms are also located on this level.

What You’ll Need

• Comfortable clothing and shoes
• Spending money for YouZeum gift shop (optional)
• Names and emergency contact information for all children and adults in your group
• Cell phones (adults only)

Rules and Guidelines

• All groups must maintain a 1:12 chaperone to student ratio.
• Chaperones must accompany and supervise their group at all times.
• Shoes must be worn at all times.
• Smoking is not permitted in the building or on YouZeum grounds.
• The YouZeum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Food

• No eating or drinking in the exhibit galleries.
• Snacks or lunches may be eaten in one of the designated classrooms if arranged in advance, at the Atkins Memorial Park (behind the YouZeum) or at Peace Park on the MU campus (approximately 3 blocks south of the YouZeum).
• Please dispose of trash properly.
